Why caller ID matters in India
A large share of Indian mobile users rely on Truecaller (and similar caller-ID apps) to decide whether to answer an unknown number. Unverified numbers are routinely labelled as “Spam”, “Telemarketer”, “Likely Scam”, or simply shown without a business name. Even when an unverified number is not labelled negatively, the absence of a business name and category significantly reduces answer rates compared to a verified business listing. For DialNexa deployments dialling into India, this matters because every connected call is the start of the conversation funnel. Even a 5 to 10 percentage-point improvement in answer rate compounds into a meaningful uplift on every downstream metric, qualified conversations, bookings, completed flows, and revenue. What this means for your India deployment today
DialNexa does not currently submit Truecaller Business verification on your behalf and there is no in-platform integration with Truecaller’s verified caller-ID program. There are two practical levers available today:- Use stable, dedicated business numbers. Provision Indian numbers through Plivo and keep your outbound caller ID consistent across campaigns. Numbers with a stable, non-spammy call history tend to be flagged less aggressively over time.
- Apply for Truecaller Business verification directly. Truecaller accepts applications independently of the telephony platform.
How to apply for Truecaller Business verification
Truecaller’s Business verification program is run directly by Truecaller. To apply:- Go to business.truecaller.com.
- Sign up using a business email and verify ownership of the business.
- Submit the required documentation: business name, business category, GSTIN (or international equivalent), and the phone numbers you want verified.
- Wait for review. Review typically takes 5 to 10 business days.
- Once verified, the numbers you submitted will display your business name and category on Truecaller-enabled devices.
