DialNexa knowledge base documents are the files or text records that populate a knowledge base. Document upload supports file content with title, knowledge base id, description, source, document type, file size, file path, and download behavior.
A document that is outdated but uploaded confidently is still outdated.

DialNexa Knowledge Base Document Fields And Limits

These fields help users understand document records.

Supported Upload Formats And Limits

Upload PDF, TXT, or DOCX files up to 20 MB (20,971,520 bytes). Legacy .doc files are not supported; save them as .docx first. Extracted text also has a 20 MB limit. Each knowledge base allows up to 25 non-deleted documents, with a unique title for each document. Upload acceptance starts background indexing. Wait until the document is ready before testing retrieval. A knowledge base can temporarily reject writes while it is indexing; wait for processing to finish instead of submitting duplicate uploads. See document processing and failure recovery.

Prepare A Useful Knowledge Document

1

Use source material you trust

Do not upload stale policies or draft copy.
2

Give it a clear title

Future reviewers should know what the document covers.
3

Keep one topic per document when possible

Smaller focused documents are easier to audit.
4

Review extracted content

If parsing changes formatting, update the source file.
5

Retest the agent

Ask questions that require the new document.

Document Upload Issues

Use accepted document formats such as PDF, TXT, or DOCX where supported.
