# Gmail

> Have DialNexa send the follow-up email right after the call - the one your agent promised, with the right context, before the conversation goes cold.

Gmail is where most business communication lands. When DialNexa handles a call where a follow-up email was promised - a recap, a proposal, a document, a confirmation - it can draft and send that email automatically, so nothing falls through the cracks between the call ending and the rep opening their laptop.

## What this integration does

DialNexa connects to Gmail through Google OAuth. After a call, DialNexa can:

* **Send emails** from your connected Gmail account to the caller's email address
* **Draft emails** into Gmail for a rep to review and send, rather than auto-sending
* **Log sent emails** to your CRM (via HubSpot, Salesforce, or other connected tools)
* **Thread into existing conversations** if the caller's email is part of an active Gmail thread
* **Attach documents** or links referenced during the call (Calendly link, proposal URL, meeting notes)

## When to use DialNexa with Gmail

**Post-call recap** - the agent handled the call and promised to send a summary. DialNexa writes and sends a plain-language recap of what was discussed, what was agreed, and what the next step is - tailored to what actually happened on the call.

**Proposal or document delivery** - when a prospect asks for pricing, a proposal, or specific documentation during the call, DialNexa can send it immediately after the call ends rather than waiting for a rep to action it.

**Appointment confirmation** - after booking a meeting on the call, DialNexa sends an email confirmation with the date, time, and what to prepare - reinforcing the booking and reducing no-shows.

**Demo or callback follow-up** - when a prospect can't talk now but wants to continue later, DialNexa sends a short email while the conversation is still fresh: "Great speaking with you, here's what we covered, here's the link to book when you're ready."

## Setting up the integration

In your DialNexa agent workflow, add a Gmail action at the end of the call - or triggered by specific outcomes. You'll configure:

1. **Gmail connection** - Google OAuth connected to the sending Gmail account
2. **To address** - typically the caller's email, captured during the call as a DialNexa variable
3. **From address** - the rep's Gmail account or a shared team inbox
4. **Subject and body** - email template using DialNexa variables like `{{caller_name}}`, `{{call_summary}}`, `{{booking_link}}`, and `{{next_step}}`
5. **Send vs. draft** - choose whether to send immediately or draft for rep review
6. **Conditions** - only send if certain call outcomes are met (e.g., only send the recap email if the caller provided their email address)
