I grew up immersed in rave culture, and that early exposure to raw, rebellious energy continues to shape everything I do. My music is emotional, a little chaotic, and full of groove.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Where are you from?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I’m from a small town in the south of France. The rave scene there was heavily influenced by the old <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spiral_Tribe\">Spiral Tribe<\/a> energy \u2014 illegal parties in the woods, vinyl-only sets, DIY sound systems. It really shaped the way I approach music today.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What does your music sound like?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I usually say \u201cfast techno,\u201d but honestly, it’s a big mix. There\u2019s hard techno, psy-trance, groove, a bit of trance, and even jazz influences in the structure. It\u2019s intense, but with a sense of humour. My tracks can shift from trippy to emotional to totally absurd \u2014 like a weird dream you dance through.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\\"https:\/\/www.attackmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DSC03362-800x1000.jpeg\\"\" alt=\"\\"Lola\" cerise=\"\" performing\\\"=\"\">\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Why should we follow your journey?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Because I\u2019m not chasing trends. I just make music that feels honest and fun \u2014 sometimes ridiculous, sometimes deep, but always personal. If you\u2019re into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attackmagazine.com\/features\/long-read\/has-techno-lost-its-groove\/\">fast, raw techno<\/a> with character and emotion, I might be your girl.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Which of your tracks sums you up? Why?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Probably <em>Is That What You Wanted Mummy?<\/em> \u2014 it\u2019s intense, weird, vulnerable, and doesn\u2019t try to please anyone. It wasn\u2019t made to be a \u201cbanger,\u201d just a true reflection of something inside. The fact that it got signed still feels surreal.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What do you have coming out soon?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>My debut EP <em>I Don\u2019t Speak German<\/em> just dropped on ARTCORE. It\u2019s a collection of tracks made over the past three years \u2014 like a time capsule of my evolution. I\u2019m also working on a collaborative album for my label, First Date Without Panties, due around September. It features tracks made with artists I love. We just debuted our track with Parfait this weekend and it was a hit. I\u2019m super excited for what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Who or what influences you the most?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Emotionally, artists like Gesaffelstein and Dusty Kid had a big impact \u2014 they create music with a strong identity. Jazz also inspires me for its fluid, structure-breaking approach. But my biggest influence is probably the people I meet in clubs, raves, and life. Real human stories.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>How did you start DJing and producing?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I always wanted to be a DJ, but I really started during COVID while living in Australia. I played my first set at a bush doof and it felt like a revelation. Producing followed a month after I bought my first controller \u2014 a way to dive deeper into my sound and express what I couldn\u2019t say with words.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s on your studio shopping list?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<ul>\\n<\/p>\n<li>A better soundcard<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<li>A modular synth I probably won\u2019t know how to use properly<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<li>Maybe… a disco ball. Not essential, but great for the vibe.<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/ul>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What have you sacrificed for your art?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Romantic relationships, without a doubt. I\u2019m a passionate person, and when I fall in love, it can take up the space that music usually fills. I\u2019ve learned to protect that space \u2014 right now, I\u2019m fully committed to the music.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s been your favorite place to perform?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Gotec holds a special place in my heart \u2014 I\u2019m a resident there, and it always feels like playing for my extended rave family. <a href=\"https:\/\/phantom.paris\/tickets.html\">Phantom in Paris<\/a> was also magical, especially sharing the booth with Indira (Paganotto) for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Where can we hear your music?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Everywhere online \u2014 Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube. And in real life, mostly in Germany and Central Europe for now, with more places coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What song would feature on the soundtrack of your life?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><em>Naturtr\u00e4ne<\/em> by Nina Hagen. It\u2019s wild, unpredictable, full of emotion, chaotic, and unapologetic \u2014 pretty much sums me up.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What motivates you?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>The memory of all the jobs I had before music \u2014 cleaning, hospitality \u2014 reminded me daily that I wasn\u2019t doing what I loved. That fire still drives me when things get tough.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>My first name is really Lola Cerise \u2014 and yes, \u201cCerise\u201d means \u201ccherry\u201d in French. People often think it\u2019s a stage name, but it\u2019s totally real.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Complete this sentence: At heart I\u2019m just a\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2026raver who never got over her first illegal party in the woods.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s the best advice you\u2019ve received?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t believe in yourself, no one will.\u201d It\u2019s simple but powerful. The day I stopped hoping and started knowing I\u2019d make it work, everything shifted.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Where do you see yourself in five years?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Hopefully on the main stage at Tomorrowland \u2014 or in a tiny, sweaty basement with the wildest crowd. I grew up immersed in rave culture, and that early exposure to raw, rebellious energy continues to shape everything I do. My music is emotional, a little chaotic, and full of groove.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Where are you from?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I’m from a small town in the south of France. The rave scene there was heavily influenced by the old <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Spiral_Tribe\">Spiral Tribe<\/a> energy \u2014 illegal parties in the woods, vinyl-only sets, DIY sound systems. It really shaped the way I approach music today.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What does your music sound like?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I usually say \u201cfast techno,\u201d but honestly, it’s a big mix. There\u2019s hard techno, psy-trance, groove, a bit of trance, and even jazz influences in the structure. It\u2019s intense, but with a sense of humour. My tracks can shift from trippy to emotional to totally absurd \u2014 like a weird dream you dance through.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\\"https:\/\/www.attackmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DSC03362-800x1000.jpeg\\"\" alt=\"\\"Lola\" cerise=\"\" performing\\\"=\"\">\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Why should we follow your journey?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Because I\u2019m not chasing trends. I just make music that feels honest and fun \u2014 sometimes ridiculous, sometimes deep, but always personal. If you\u2019re into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.attackmagazine.com\/features\/long-read\/has-techno-lost-its-groove\/\">fast, raw techno<\/a> with character and emotion, I might be your girl.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Which of your tracks sums you up? Why?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Probably <em>Is That What You Wanted Mummy?<\/em> \u2014 it\u2019s intense, weird, vulnerable, and doesn\u2019t try to please anyone. It wasn\u2019t made to be a \u201cbanger,\u201d just a true reflection of something inside. The fact that it got signed still feels surreal.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What do you have coming out soon?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>My debut EP <em>I Don\u2019t Speak German<\/em> just dropped on ARTCORE. It\u2019s a collection of tracks made over the past three years \u2014 like a time capsule of my evolution. I\u2019m also working on a collaborative album for my label, First Date Without Panties, due around September. It features tracks made with artists I love. We just debuted our track with Parfait this weekend and it was a hit. I\u2019m super excited for what\u2019s next.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Who or what influences you the most?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Emotionally, artists like Gesaffelstein and Dusty Kid had a big impact \u2014 they create music with a strong identity. Jazz also inspires me for its fluid, structure-breaking approach. But my biggest influence is probably the people I meet in clubs, raves, and life. Real human stories.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>How did you start DJing and producing?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>I always wanted to be a DJ, but I really started during COVID while living in Australia. I played my first set at a bush doof and it felt like a revelation. Producing followed a month after I bought my first controller \u2014 a way to dive deeper into my sound and express what I couldn\u2019t say with words.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s on your studio shopping list?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<ul>\\n<\/p>\n<li>A better soundcard<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<li>A modular synth I probably won\u2019t know how to use properly<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<li>Maybe… a disco ball. Not essential, but great for the vibe.<\/li>\n<p>\\n<\/ul>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What have you sacrificed for your art?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Romantic relationships, without a doubt. I\u2019m a passionate person, and when I fall in love, it can take up the space that music usually fills. I\u2019ve learned to protect that space \u2014 right now, I\u2019m fully committed to the music.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s been your favorite place to perform?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Gotec holds a special place in my heart \u2014 I\u2019m a resident there, and it always feels like playing for my extended rave family. <a href=\"https:\/\/phantom.paris\/tickets.html\">Phantom in Paris<\/a> was also magical, especially sharing the booth with Indira (Paganotto) for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Where can we hear your music?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>Everywhere online \u2014 Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube. And in real life, mostly in Germany and Central Europe for now, with more places coming soon.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What song would feature on the soundtrack of your life?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p><em>Naturtr\u00e4ne<\/em> by Nina Hagen. It\u2019s wild, unpredictable, full of emotion, chaotic, and unapologetic \u2014 pretty much sums me up.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What motivates you?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>The memory of all the jobs I had before music \u2014 cleaning, hospitality \u2014 reminded me daily that I wasn\u2019t doing what I loved. That fire still drives me when things get tough.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>My first name is really Lola Cerise \u2014 and yes, \u201cCerise\u201d means \u201ccherry\u201d in French. People often think it\u2019s a stage name, but it\u2019s totally real.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>Complete this sentence: At heart I\u2019m just a\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u2026raver who never got over her first illegal party in the woods.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<h2>What\u2019s the best advice you\u2019ve received?<\/h2>\n<p>\\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you don\u2019t believe in yourself, no one will.\u201d It\u2019s simple but powerful.
